Pelham Children's Center Pumpkin Festival, 5K Race & Kids Fun Run

On October 5, 2013 the Pelham Children’s
Center will hold its annual Pumpkin Festival, 5K Race and half-mile Kids Fun
Run.   The event is a fall tradition in the
community, and always a treasured day for children and families.

Starting the day at 8am from Harmon & Fifth Avenues is the 5K Race.  Runners of
all ages and ability can run, walk or jog this fairly flat and scenic course
through the Villages of Pelham and Pelham Manor.  At 9am the Kids Fun Run will commence at the
Middle School, half a mile up Wolf’s Lane, ending at the site of the Pumpkin
Festival at the Daronco Town House.

This year’s Pumpkin Festival will feature a
wide variety of seasonal activities for families to enjoy.  Even though it’s early in October, you should
not miss the opportunity to purchase the best, and longest lasting, pumpkins
around.  The pumpkins arrive fresh off
the truck at 7am directly from Richie’s Bell’s Altobelli Farm and are always of
the highest quality.  Children will also enjoy
creating Halloween masks and other crafts, decorating cupcakes, trick-or-treating
in a decorated Pelham Children’s Center, jumping in the bounce castles, rocking
out with Zev Haber and his band or having their face painted. There will also
be fantastic raffle prizes, refreshments, and a used book sale featuring books
and DVDs for all ages.

This event is generously sponsored by
Meridian Risk Management and Joan Solimine Real Estate, and not to be missed!  For more information and race registration
