1. Last Weekend of 'Light Matter' at the Pelham Art Center

The exhibit “Light Matter” closes at the Pelham Art Center on Saturday. Using luminous new media, six contemporary artists harness and explore light—dazzling and ordinary—as both subject and form in this exhibition created especially for the Pelham Art Center.

3. Free Admission to the Storm King Art Center

Storm King Art Center, Old Pleasant Hill Road, Mountainville, NY, Thursday, June 28, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Why go:
The Storm King Art Center is offering  free admission to all of its  visitors on Thursday, June 28. Storm King is one of the world’s leading sculpture parks, with more than 100 sculptures created by some of most acclaimed artists of this time.  The center is located on 500 acres of landscaped of fields, hills, and woodlands.

Why go:
The Westchester Chamber Symphony will kick off the Independence Day weekend on June 30 with its annual free family concert at the New Rochelle Public Library.
Members of the Symphony, under the baton of Barry Charles Hoffman, will perform two narrated works by Seymour Barab, The Selfish Giant and the audience interactive Three Riddles. Both pieces were commissioned and premiered by WCS. The program will also include several patriotic songs. The concert, which is sponsored by the City of New Rochelle, is free and suitable for children ages 4 and up.

Why go: Wildcliff Sculpture Garden is hosting its first pop-up art project sponsored by Incoming Tide Entertainment. The free event is for 18+ year old guests. Limited enrollment. Learn to draw with pastels in a user friendly environment on the shoreline of New Rochelle. Draw waterscapes of the Long Island Sound or draw one of the many sculptures across the Wildcliff lawn. The workshop is taught by Victoria Rolett and supplies are provided by the Wildcliff staff.
