HUTCHINSON SCHOOL — For Halloween this year, the school had an indoor parade because of snow two days before.

Oct. 31 was Halloween all over school, and all the kids were super excited. Kids and adults dressed up in different costumes. There were butterfies, bunnies, monsters, angels and much more. Some liked the parade inside, some did not.

“I liked it better outside,” said Abby, a fifth grader. “The gym was just too crowded.”

Ariana, fourth grade, disagreed, saying “I think it was better because it wasn’t a big crowd like when we were outside.”.

As the grades were called, your reporter saw really creative costumes, including zombie cheerleader, pajama zombie and Frankenstein.

The Hutchinson Bear did a little survey to see what were students’ favorite things about Halloween, and it showed that most people like the holiday because of the candy.

The parties this year were a blast. There were awesome goodie bags, sweet treats, sour treats and much more. Class 4MA’s party watched “Harry Potter” and got four different goodie bags. Students also played, chatted and planned meeting up that night for trick-or-treating.

Not only did students have fun in school, they had fun trick or treating. There are many treats that were handed out, such as Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, Hershey’s Chocolate, Pixie Stix, Rolo, Milky Way, Snickers, Chuckles, Kit Kats, Smarties, Skittles, M&Ms, Twix and much more. Everyone had a great time on Halloween. Did you have a great time?
