Saying Goodbye to Pelham's Jane Strange

Strange, who was the co-owner of Past Times antiques in Larchmont, was a longtime Pelham resident.

Friends and family are saying a final farewell to Pelham's Jane Strange. Strange raised her family here in Pelham with here husband, Walter. The couple were married for 50 years until Walter passed away.

Strange was the co-owner of Past Times Antiques in Larchmont. Friends and family say that she was known for her sense of humor, and she enjoyed the company of her friends and family.

Strange was born in New York City in 1927. At the time of her birth, her parents, Peter and Mary Dee, lived in Yonkers. The longtime Pelham resident, who retired to Rye, was an accomplished master bridge player who taught private lessons.

Jane was predeceased by her sister Katherine D. Dunn and is survived by her sister Mrs. Robert Buckley, her brother Peter Dee, her six children, Michael, Walter, Jr., Louise, Mary Taylor, Sarah Strange and Charles Strange, grandchildren Sarah Strange, Will Strange, Travis Appleby, Nicholas Strange, Allie Strange, Mary Jane Taylor and Daniel Taylor.
