2.) Celebrate Mom at Whole Foods
Where/When: , 110 Bloomingdale Road, White Plains on Saturday, May 7 from 12 p.m. -1:30 p.m. in the Cafe.
Why go: Bring the kids with you while you shop and stop by the
cafe so they can do a craft and make mother's days card with artist
Carol Pessin. Plus, if you spend $25 in Whole Body on Saturday, you'll go home with a gift bag.
3.) Simon Fashon Now
Where/When: on Friday, May 6, 6 p.m.- 9 p.m. and Saturday,
May 7, starting at 12 p.m. - 6 p.m.
Why go: Friday night features fashion, food, drinks, music samples from stores and a fundraiser for Pediatric Cancer Foundation- think of it as a night out with friends! Runway fashion shows on Saturday with the newest trends for men and
women- and you can buy them right after you see them! Style Stops too where you
can interact with the hottest items and take home some tips. Prizes too! This
event is presented by White Plains Hospital.

White Plains on Friday, May 6 and Saturday, May 7, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. It is also
being shown next weekend.
Why go: This is the 100th production by this high school's drama club and one not to be missed. Kids can come dressed as their favorite character and enjoy this production of the Disney favorite. Plus, you can stay afterwards to meet the cast. Bring the camera!

City Center, White Plains on Friday, May 6 at 8 p.m., Saturday, May 7 at 8
p.m. and Sunday, May 8 at 2 p.m.. Shows lasts 2 1/2 hours.
Why go: Go back to 1985 with this heartwarming, funny
story about a wedding singer. Great music too. This show is
put on by young actors ages 16-25 from all over Westchester.

6.) White Plains 2011 Bicycle Safety Day
Where/When: on Lake Street, White Plains on Saturday, May 7
from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Why go: Event is for kids 5-12
years old. Helmet fittings will be held and
bicycles safety check. A "learn to ride" program will also be held for kids,
must be 5 years of age. You need to bring your own bike! Prizes, snacks and
music! Car seat inspections also available during time of event. This event is
sponsored by White Plains Recreation and Parks Department and the Jill E.

7.) Asavari 14th Annual Concert
Where/When: , Asbury Hall
Auditorium, 250 Bryant Avenue, White Plains on Saturday, May 7 from 3
p.m. - 7 p.m.
Why go: Music including Hindustani Classical
Vocal, keyboard, singing, and modern performances. Refreshments
and shopping too. Asavari promotes Indian heritage and culture and proceeds from
this event will help the center.

on Saturday, May 7, starting at 7:30 p.m. - 11 p.m.
Why go: The Offbeats, The Blueberries and Del Bocas, all local bands, will be
part of the evening's performance all to benefit the Scarsdale Teen Center, a
non-profit community center for teens in Scarsdale that has programming,
activities and open for drop-in hours. Prizes and auction will happen as part of
this 5th annual event. This event is specifically for adults.

9.) St. Thomas Orchestra
Where/When: , 550 North Street, White
Plains on Saturday, May 7 at 7:30 p.m. Program will last about 1.5
Why go: They'll perform Mahler's Symphony #1, an
inspiring piece know as the "Titan," because you can hear the despair and
triumph in the music. This is a community orchestra made up of musicians that do
this for little or no payment and for the pure enjoyment. Please stay for
