Her works examine wet leaves, a crushed can, parking lots, watery reflections, and more, revealing the magic in the mundane. Peek was a staff photographer for NYC’s Dept. of General Services where she documented the city's community gardens and Mayor Ed Koch, and her photos have appeared in The New York Times, The Boston Globe, The Brooklyn Paper, The Progressive, The Village Voice, City Limits, and 2003 Oscar-nominated documentary film "Tupac: Resurrection."
