The Pelham Math Committee’s petition calling on the Pelham school district to replace Investigations hit 100 signatures over the weekend and now stands at 103. It’s interesting to note that signatures really accelerated right after the school district covered four newspaper pages in the Pelham Weekly with a defense of Investigations. That’s clearly not what people were looking for.
Thank you if you’ve signed. But we’re not done. If you signed, encourage spouses and friends and neighbors to do so. If you haven’t, please consider this important issue now. Math may not be a visceral concern, but if you read the articles and research on this site, you’ll see it doesn’t require edu-speak to understand what we have and what we need. Let’s bring world-class math education to the elementary students of Pelham.
