Alleged Bank Robbers Caught After Brief Car Pursuit in Yonkers

The two suspects allegedly robbed the Bank of America located on 176 Roberts Ave. earlier today.

 

Yonkers police took two men into custody today after they allegedly robbed the Bank of America, located at 176 Roberts Ave.

The robbery took place at about 2:30 p.m. when the men walked into bank, made motions with their hand like they had gun and fled with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspects fled the scene in a gray car, but were stopped by police on the Saw Mill River, near McLean Avenue. A gun was recovered from the suspects afer they were caught.

Yonkers police Lt. Michael Kreso said detective are still piecing together the details of what happened and that the department will have more information later.
