Pelham Law Enforcement Called to Mt. Vernon HS

Pelham police departments called to Mt. Vernon HS Thursday.

Police from the Town of Pelham and the Village of Pelham Manor were among several law enforcement agencies around the county that responded to a disturbance at Mount Vernon High School Thursday afternoon.

Published reports say six people, possibly students, may have been arrested. When contacted by Patch, the Mount Vernon Board of Education would only say that the high school had been placed on lockdown.

Mount Vernon Police assisted by other agencies blocked streets surrounding the high school while students left the building.
