Bronxville Woman Indicted in Deadly Hit-and-Run Accident

85-year-old woman faces felony charge.

Bronxville resident Bridget Gambone faces a felony charge in connection with the December 2010 hit-and-run death of Yonkers schoolteacher Sheryl Chasin.  Police say Gambone hit Chasin while driving north on Kraft Ave. in Bronxville on the evening of December 2.  Police say Gambone then back her car up, and hit Chasin a second time before driving away.

A short time later, a second vehicle hit the 59-year-old schoolteacher.  The driver of that vehicle did stay at the scene of the accident.

Police were able to track down Gambone later that night.  They found the 85-year-old inside her home—two hours after the accident took place.
