Commuter Weather Updates

Check out the latest Metro-North, Bee-Line services updates, highway and weather conditions.

winter storm warning is in effect from 7 p.m. Tuesday until 6 p.m. Wednesday for the Lower Hudson ValleyNew York CitySouthern Connecticut and Northeast New Jersey.

The Lower Hudson Valley, New York City, and Northeast New Jersey are expecting 8 to 12 inches, while South Connecticut could get up to 2 feet of snow.

Flakes are expected to start falling between 7 and 9 p.m.—according to National Weather Service andAccuWeather.com’s websites—with heavy snowfall to start around midnight. This has the potential to effect Tuesday evening commutes.

The New York State Department of Transportations urges the public to avoid travel during winter weather weather. Light snow is causing snow/ice conditions for New England I-95 (exists 8-22) and Nyack I-87 (exits 1-14A) and wet conditions  on I-287 Cross Westchester Expressway in the New York metro area.

Metro-North is running on a Sunday schedule, which offers limited service. Customers should expect crowded trains and delays. Metro-North’s Waterbury branch will be temporarily suspended. Clickhere for more information on Metro-North or here to find the train times for your route.

NYC Transit Subway will have delays to their Tuesday evening express service, with other routes ending early. Planned services changes on the subway are canceled until mid-day tomorrow. Click herefor more information.

New York City buses will run on a normal schedule will Access-A-Ride service canceled, except for medical necessity trips. Click here for bus schedules.

Bee-Line buses will run on their regular schedules for Tuesday night, as of 4:30 p.m., and will run on modified weekday schdeudle Wednesday. Bee-Line will not operate buses until road are passable. Routes 3, 9, 10, 11, 17, 18, 21, 27, 31, 32, 34, 38, 39, 41, 43, 53, 54, 62, 64, 65, 66, 70, 71, 77, BxM4C, shuttle routes will not run on Wednesday. Check here for Bee-Line updates.
