Laptop Stolen From Car with Open Windows

Pelham, lock your car doors!

Village of Pelham police are investigating 3 cases of larcenies from vehicles that occurred during the past week.

On March 3, around noon, village police received a report about two cars left parked on Linden Ave. overnight. Several dollars in coins and a transistor radio valued at $49 was taken.

Police also received a call around 9:30 a.m. of the same day about 2 cars parked overnight on Oak Ave. The owners said the cars were unlocked and had apparently been rummaged. Items that were stolen included an iPhone valued at $500, a Raymond Weil silver watch valued at $5,000, two credit cards and $140 cash.

On March 4, police received a call from a Fourth Ave. resident who discovered his Toyota Corolla had been robbed around 5:30 in the evening.

The man said his car doors were locked, but the windows on the driver and passenger sides were partially open when he left for about 20 minutes. He reported his laptop computer- valued at $1,500- as well as the backpack it was in had been taken from the floorboard of the car. A Sirius radio receiver valued at $100 was also reported missing from the car.
