Town of Pelham police are investigating a case involving a stolen car and misplaced trust.
A Pelham woman brought a man she met in a Mount Vernon laundromat to her Fifth Ave. residence last Thursday night, Nov. 29. The two shared a meal and the man left after a couple of hours, borrowing bus fare from the woman.
The next morning, the woman discovered her car key was missing and soon realized her car, a 2011 Honda CRV, was also missing from the lot where she parked it the night before. The woman told police no one else had access to her residence or the car key.
Police are searching for a black male, approximately 23 years old, with light skin and closely cropped hair.
