Pelham Arrests New Rochelle Man for DWI

Police noticed the driver did not have on headlights.

Village of Pelham police arrested Richard M. Motley Jr., 53, of New Rochelle, on March 15 for aggravated DWI near 149 Wolfs Lane.

According to their reports, police noticed a car on Wolfs Lane travelling without its headlights on around 4:30 a.m. and stopped the car. The driver pulled into a service station. Police say the man's car smelled of alcohol and that he was unsteady on his feet when asked to exit his car. Motley reportedly had to hold onto his car for balance.

Police say Motley tested 0.18 percent blood alcohol content at the police station. He was also cited for driving without headlights.
