Pelham Manor Gas Tanker Explosion Remains Under Investigation

Pelham Manor Fire officials released no new details on the cause of a gasoline tanker explosion that took place Friday at a Gulf gas station on Secor Lane.

The Pelham Manor Fire Department gave no updates Monday morning on their investigation into the cause of that destroyed a Gulf gas station and an automobile service station Friday morning.

The explosion took place at about 2 a.m. when a 5,000-gallon tanker was unloading at the gas station located on Secor Lane, near the Pelham Parkway.

The truck driver and two gas station attendants escaped injury, but the fire destroyed the gas station's convenience store and Future Automative, a service station adjacent to the gas station. Check back for more updates as they become available throughout the week.
