Pelham Manor Police Question Shoplift Suspect After Drug Possession Arrest

A Bronx woman may have ties to recent shoplifting cases in Pelham Manor.

 

Pelham Manor police may have cracked the case of a recent shoplifting incident at a Boston Post Rd drugstore after questioning a Bronx woman recently arrested for alleged drug possession.

According to Pelham Manor police reports, the 48 year-old woman, Lee Bellomo of the Bronx, was arrested December 21 after police found her with hypodermic needles and 16 envelopes of heroin in her purse.

Pelham Manor police questioned Bellomo about a December 10 shoplifting incident at a Boston Post Rd. drugstore. The store manager reported to police that a woman entered the store and took several hair care products valued at more than $300. The woman, captured on video surveillance cameras, leaves the store by car after paying for a can of soda. 

According to Pelham Manor police reports, Bellomo told authorities she sold the items in her neighborhood.

Police did not indicate whether Bellomo was also a suspect in a December 4 shoplifting incident at the same drugstore.

According to Pelham Manor police reports, the store manager said a woman took more than $3,100 worth of hair care products from the store on that day.
