Pelham Police Blotter: Bank Fraud, Failed Attempt at Valentine's Day Romance

Violation of Protection Order, 2/14/12

A 22-year-old Bronx man was wanted for questioning after he allegedly violated an order of protecting by sending his ex-girlfriend gifts on Valentine Day.

On Feb. 14, a woman who works at the Hutchinson Elementary School arrived at work to find six long-stemmed rose, an iPad and a love poem had been delivered to her. Other staff members at the school said that a man had stopped by to deliver the gifts.

The staff members were able to identify the man who made the delivery after the woman showed them a picture of her ex-boyfriend. The incident was reported to police the next day.

Bank Fraud, 2/15/12

An employee of Trustco Bank was arrested and charged with a felony count of forgery on Feb. 15 after she allegedly partnered with someone else to forge checks and steal $9,500 from two bank accounts.

The incident happened in January, according to Pelham police detectives. Pelham police declined to released the woman’s name, but said they would release more details about the incident later this week.
