Police Blotter: Girls Trespass In Woods To Swim

The information in the article was provided by Newtown Police Department. Neither arrests nor charges indicate a conviction, and neither means that a person is guilty of what police allege.

On July 30, at approximately 4:20 pm, Newtown Police were dispatched to the area of the Shepaug Dam located at 72 Alberts Hill Road, Sandy Hook, for a report of four females entering the woods to go swimming. Newtown Police checked the area on foot and found the young women trespassing on the property owned by Firstlight Hydro  Generating Company.  One of the girls was identified as Tara Krehel, 19, 70 Sugar Lane.  She was accompanied by three 16 year old juvenile girls. They all received infractions for simple trespassing with an answer date of August 10, 2012.

Is this the same Christine Rose that has shone so much compassion for the Callahan family after they became unhappy about the fact that Liam Callahan DIED!!! What a hypocritical disgrace! They are "real people" Christine!

While we deeply sympathize with Mr. Callahan's family and wish them peace throughout this tragedy, we have an obligation to report the news. We know that no single event defines an individual and we therefore encourage readers to continue to share their memories of Mr. Callahan and read the obituary we published: http://patch.com/A-xFHq

No, you did not "report" the news you chose to "report" the ALLEGATIONS!!! I think that this Patch has an obligation to know the difference especially when the affects are so severe.
