New York City Police are investigating a "likely robbery" at the Smash Burger in Pelham Manor, officers told Patch Monday morning.

The incident occurred at about 10:30 a.m., a half-hour after the store opened its doors for business.

Detectives from the NYPD's 47th Precinct were dusting a dark Lexus sedan for fingerprints at 11 a.m.—police said the suspects may have touched the car.

Police said cash was taken, but could not say how much.

The business was open and customers were eating inside at about 11 a.m.
