Thief Steals Car, Vandalizes 4 More in Pelham Manor

Thief uses one stolen car to rip off 4 more in Pelham Manor.

 

Pelham Manor police are currently investigating a series of auto larcenies that happened last week.

According to police reports, an unidentified suspect stole a grey Nissan Altima last Tuesday night or Wednesday morning from a residence on Pelhamdale Ave.

At approximately 1 a.m. Wednesday morning, a Pelham Manor resident in the 4000 block of Boston Post Rd. interrupted someone in the garage of their multi-unit building. The resident reports hearing voices and seeing a grey Nissan Altima leave the building. 

When police arrived, they discovered several vehicles had been vandalized and items stolen. Two vehicles were Honda CRV models that had their spare tires removed, but were left at the scene. There was also damage to a Honda Accord which had its passenger window broken and radio damaged and an Acura, model not specified, which had a broken passenger window.

The most extensive damage was to a second Honda Accord vehicle. Police report the car was missing both its passenger side tires and lug nuts. Among the items discovered on the scene, police found a half-ton auto jack and flashlight.
