Two Men Robbed at Glenwood Train Station; Connection to Pelham Armed Robberies Unlikely

Two men were assaulted and robbed at the Glenwood Train Station in Yonkers Saturday.

Metropolitan Transportation Authority Police are investigating a robbery that took place at the Glenwood Train Station in Yonkers Saturday.

The incident happened at about 5 p.m. when two men, both in their 20s, were assaulted by four teenage males and robbed of $80 on the train station overpass. The victims had scheduled a meeting with suspects to purchase a cell phone.

The incident is still under investigation.

Detective Rick Deere of the Pelham police department said he had no information on the Yonkers robbery Monday. But he said the style did not fit the one used that were committed near the Pelham Train Station this year.

Pelham police have been working police from the New York City, the MTA and other surrounding police agencies to find the culprit responsible for a series of armed robberies that have taken near train stations in Pelham, Harrison and Mamaroneck.
