[VIDEO] Motorist Rescued by Pelham Manor PD
Pelham Manor Police and Public Works plucked a motorist from his flooded car.
After hours of steady rains Friday morning, the streets of Pelham Manor succumbed to temporary flash floods at a number of locations. The standing water quickly subsided, but not before back-up rain water and waves pushed in by passing motorists did their damage to some homes and cars.
Flood waters rose quickly near Pelham Golf Course leaving a motorist stranded in his car on Rockledge Dr. Police and Department of Public Works quickly responded to help the man from his vehicle.
Homes along Pelhamdale Ave were plagued by basement flooding that occurred when rain water temporarily overwhelmed the storm drains.
