Village of Pelham Manor Police Blotter: Summer Clothes Heist and Drowsy Druggie

The following information was supplied by the Pelham Manor Police Department. Arrest information does not indicate a conviction.

Having a Heat Wave: 5/25/11

2:40p.m. Pelham Manor police received a report of stolen merchandise from the manager of Mandee’s clothing store. According to the report, three females in their mid-twenties had left the store with $300 of unpaid clothing—mostly shorts and shirts. One was described as wearing a white tank top and blue jean shorts and a tan hat, the second a striped shirt with blue jean shorts and the third a long green shirt that covered shorts or a skirt. The three drove off in a gray Honda.

You've Got Mail: 5/23/11

3:47 p.m. Police were notified by a US Post office letter carrier that while delivering mail on Shore Road, the letter carrier observed a man in his mid-20s on a bicycle go up to a mailbox he had just left. The man opened and closed it without taking anything, as far as the letter carrier could see—but he felt he should report it.

Asleep at the Wheel: 5/19/11

1:03a.m. Officers on patrol came across a gray Honda CRV parked at Boston Post and Manor Ridge roads with its interior lights on and the driver sound asleep. Then they saw a glass pipe commonly used for smoking crack cocaine partially hidden under her leg. When the car was searched, police found both crack and glassine envelopes of what they believed to be heroin. The value of the narcotics was approximately $275. The suspect was brought back to HQ for processing.
