12:51 p.m. Pelham Police officers received a call that an unidentified party interrupted a piano lesson at a Fifth Avenue residence. When the officer arrived, the disturbing party was nowhere to be found.

11:44 a.m. A Third venue resident said that she had received a fraudulent bill from her doctor’s office, dated for a June visit. But, she hadn’t been to the office since last July and believed she was a victim of identity theft. Upon calling the physician’s office and insurance company, the woman was notified that it was a clerical error.

4:18 p.m. Pelham Police responded to a call from DeCiccio Market in connection to a repeat offender who had been cashing bad checks. The 26-year-old Yonkers man would purchase something inexpensive, pay with a check and add $50 to the total, which he would pocket as cash. The man had previously cashed two fraudulent checks. The man had cashed a total of $300 in bad checks and was charged with petty larceny.

7:59 a.m. Pelham Police received a call from Colonial Elementary School that approximately 20 Busch and Coors beer cans had been found bagged and left near a trash bin in the northwest corner of the school’s playground.
