Village Of Pelham Police Blotter: Harassing Texts And Lost GPSs

A glance at recent investigations by the Village of Pelham Police Department.

5/3/11

10:44 a.m. Pelham Police received a report that a female walking down Sixth Avenue had a unidentified male expose himself to her. The victim described the male as white, medium build and height, clean-shaven, and with bushy red hair. The suspect was wearing jeans, a large blue sweatshirt, and had a long belt hanging loose.

4:19 p.m. While on patrol, Pelham Police were flagged down by a Mt. Vernon resident near the intersection of First Ave. and Lincoln Ave. According to the report the resident had been in an argument with her son.  While talking to the resident, Pelham Police officers witnessed the son running underneath the Lincoln Ave. bridge and gave chase. Officers soon received radio transmissions that the son was running down the northbound Hutchinson River Parkway.  Other police units converged on the boy and were able to bring him to Police HQ.

5:28 p.m. A Clifford Avenue resident reported his GPS missing to the Pelham Police. According to the resident, his wife has left their 2007 black Honda Odyssey unlocked on the evening of 4/27. The power cord was found to be missing as well.

4/22/11

12:00p.m. Pelham Police received a report that a DeCicco Market employee was being harassed by her ex-boyfriend. According to the employee, beginning at noon and ending at the end of her shift, she received approximately 300 harassing texts from her ex-boyfriends. The texts threatened to reveal harmful personal information to the victim’s current boyfriend and family. According to the text message log, the suspect had texted the victim every two minutes. The victim employee is pressing charges and getting an order of protection.
