Village of Pelham Police Blotter: Illegal Kool Kings, Stolen Rings and Abandoned Parking Tickets

A glance at recent investigations by the Village of Pelham Police Department.

Stolen Jewels

4.19.11 A Nyac Avenue resident said that a number of pieces of jewelry had gone missing from her home, including a topaz ring and gold and diamond earrings, on April 1. The woman suspected that her housekeeper had stolen the items to avenge for having been laid off. The housekeeper had keys to the house, knew the alarm code and had access to the closet where the valuables were kept. The resident didn’t have the cleaning woman’s phone number or address when police filed the report.
