A 26-year-old Yonkers man was convicted Wednesday of assaulting his girlfriend with a tire iron.

The victim had an order of protection filed against Walters at the time of the incident.

When police arrived at the woman’s home, they found Walters standing on the roof of the building and threatening to jump.

Emergency service unit officers from Yonkers and New York City eventually took Walter into custody and transported him to a local hospital for a psychiatric evaluation.

Walters is scheduled to be sentenced on Jan. 24.
