State Department of Transportation crews will be conducting alternate lane closures, northbound and southbound, on the Hutchinson River Parkway between Exit 7, US Route 1/Boston Post Road,and Exit 6, I-95, on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Weather permitting, crews will be doing maintenance work in this area.
Motorists are asked to use caution when traveling through the work area and pay particular attention to all traffic control devices, including work zone signs and flaggers.
DOT officials also say they reminding motorists that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone, and convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of the driver’s license.
