Last Chance: Public Comments on the Village of Pelham's $13M Budget Proposal

Tonight is the time to do it. The village is holding a public hearing on the tentative proposal today at 7:30 p.m. inside .

The only question that remains is how much over the cap the spending plan will when the board approves it later this month.

The $13 million spending plan would represent a 4.6 percent increase to this year’s tax levy. That is more than the 2.3 percent property tax cap mandated by the state. In order to override the tax cap, the board will need to pass the budget through a supermajority.

Village officials are scheduled to vote on the budget on April 24. The state deadline for having a budget approved is May 1.
