Village Administrator Robert Yamuder said supplies of salt and sand "are at full capacity" after a winter weather advisory was issued for the rest of the week in this region.

With many homeowners still managing repairs from Hurricane Sandy, concern is keen not just about snowfall and cold temperatures but also other possible affects of the storm.
"National weather reports show a lesser amount of snow accumulation expected at this time," said Yamuder. "We are monitoring the wind gusts as well which could potentially have an impact on trees."
Yamuder said a number of village workers will remain on call through the end of the week to respond to hazardous conditions.
