Committee members met at the house of former supervisor . Four more people have expressed an interest, communications director for the Don Peters' campaign, Bill Primavera said. He could not disclose any names yet, but said the committee is looking for women candidates.

Committee members are expected to meet again next week to continue the interviewing process.

While the name of Sean Kennedy was disclosed as a prospective candidate for Yorktown councilman, I have learned that the announcement was precipitous and that Mr. Kennedy has in fact not yet decided to request an interview with the nominating committee. We regret the miscommunication. Thanks.

"Looking for woman candidates"? Is that how the democrats seek candidates, based upon race, sex, religion etc....How about the most qualified candidate?
