Welcome!

Hey Everyone! Thank you for visiting and supporting our page. Just to explain a little more about who we are...this fundraiser was founded by the Pelham Memorial High School Class of 2015 (the junior class). We organized a 5k fundraiser last year for the victims of the Boston Marathon, and raised approximately $3000! We appreciate everyone who pitched in last year, and we hope to exceed that number this year. The actual race will take place on Saturday, March 22nd, starting at 8am at Martha-Emmons Weihman Memorial Park in Pelham, NY.

So, who are we fundraising for? 

Charity: water is a huge organization with the goal of providing the approximately 1 billion people without access to clean water, access to it, and are famous for 100% of their public donations going directly to water projects. By supporting the goal of providing access to clean water, you are also opening the doors for people to gain an education, diversify their work opportunities, and actually spend meaningful time with their families. A tremendous amount of time is wasted everyday collecting water...water that isn't even clean and kills on average 4500 CHILDREN per day. The statistics are endless with stuff like this, but all you need to know is that you can really make a difference, and that leads to the coolest part of Charity: water's mission...once our fundraising is completed, we can look online and see the exact gps coordinates of the systems that our money built, how many people we helped gain access to water, and it will even say it was donated by Us.
