An Evening of Health & Fitness - Dieting, Diabetes, Nutrition & Exercise

In honor of National Physical Therapy Month and its theme of combating obesity, Susan Greenberg, MS, PT of B.E.S.T. Physical Therapy Associates is sponsoring a fun “Evening of Health and Fitness” on Tuesday, October 25, 2011, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Pelham facility. Admission is free and includes a delicious, low-calorie dinner and refreshments. Seating is limited to 25 so call and make your reservation today (914-738-1777). 

The event is offered by B.E.S.T.’s Physical Therapy Director, Susan Greenberg, Dr. Lokesh Reddy, a physician practicing in Scarsdale, NY, with specialties of internal medicine and weight loss, and Melvyn Grovit, DPM, MS, CNS, Clinical Nutritionist/Diabetic Specialist.

The evening will be dedicated to learning about Dieting, Diabetes, Nutrition and Exercise. Topics will include: The “Reddy to Lose” Diet, by Dr. Lokesh Reddy; and “Nutritional Secrets for Managing Type II Diabetes,” by Melvyn Grovit, DPM, MS, CNS.

Melvyn Grovit is an Adjunct Associate Research Scientist and Clinical Nutritionist at Columbia University Medical Center.

Participants will also have the opportunity to take part in a “Zumba for Weight Loss” and Pilates demonstration by Pelham’s Ballet Arts - Performing Arts Center, and to learn to safely stretch with “B.E.S.T.’s Calorie Burning Stretches” performed by B.E.S.T. Physical Therapists Liz Arnoff and Magdalena Bukowski.

Rona Blum, Jewelry Designer, will be on hand so that participants can browse a selection of her unique and attractive Medical Alert Bracelets and Jewelry, available for purchase.

Everyone attending the event will be entered into a raffle drawing for door prizes.
