This weekly session will teach a classical yoga breathing (pranayama) series and introduce you to various meditation styles and methods and mindfulness based practices. Students immediately notice a sense of calm and centeredness which begins to permeate their lives as they develop a steady and long-term practice. You'll learn how to use the breath and meditation to refresh and invigorate you, while you quiet your mind and begin to direct your thoughts and emotions, helping you to tap into a more awakened life .
Each session features a talk, classical yoga breathing (pranayama), Q & A session and several guided meditations. No experience with meditation is necessary. This is a seated practice with lots of blankets, blocks & bolsters to make it comfortable for everyone. No prior yoga or meditation experience is needed.
