Artist Gives Pelham Students Lesson in Japanese Culture

Kazuko Omori, a Japanese art and culture teacher, taught calligraphy to a group of third-graders at Siwanoy Elementary School Wednesday.

Third-grade students at Siwanoy Elementary School received a lesson in Japanese culture Wednesday from Kazuko Omori, a Japanese art teacher.

Omori taught Japanese calligraphy to three third-grade classes at the elementary school. The work will later be displayed on Friday, when the elementary school hosts its 6th Annual Japan Festival.
