PMHS gets a later first period start
The schedule has undergone one final change. Period zero, the first class of the day for musicians and those taking early-morning gym, will start at 7:35 a.m., not 7:25 a.m. as it was originally decided, Dr. Dennis Lauro announced at Monday night’s Board of Education meeting.

Kathleen McGrath gears up to retire
The Board of Education approved the retirement of Kathleen McGrath who has served the Pelham School District in a number of capacities, from math teacher to her current role as Director of Secondary Education and Instructional Technology. “We would like to vote ‘no,’’ remarked Will Cavanagh at Monday night’s meeting after noting how much McGrath will be missed.
Hazardous Weather Outlook
The National Weather Service has announced a “hazardous weather outlook,” meaning that there will be snow and patchy fog before 9 a.m. NSW is calling for new snow accumulation of less than half an inch. Let’s hope there’s not much more than that—the Pelham School District only has one more snow day left built into the schedule.
