Pelham BOE Having All Day Budget Line Review Saturday
All-day budget workshop at Pelham Memorial High School this Saturday.
Members of the Pelham BOE will go through the preliminary 2013-14 proposed school budget with the proverbial fine tooth comb this Saturday.

The all day session is scheduled from 9 a.m to 4 p.m. in Alumni Hall at Pelham Memorial High School, 575 Colonial Ave.

When released at this Monday's regular meeting, interim superintendent Dr. Charles Wilson said his draft budget will reflect the direction set by the Board of Education in discussions earlier this year “to develop a budget that preserves program and class size and is within the tax cap.”
Board members will start the morning with an overview of the budget and proposed tax levy changes before delving into instruction categories. Time for public comment on those topics is scheduled from 11:30 to noon.

Following a lunch break, the board will get back to work reviewing transportation costs, contractual and security expenses as well as other matters. Time for public comment will follow.
