Pelham School Board to Hold Special Meeting Today

The board is expected to go into executive session to discuss its decision to hire the firm of Hazard, Young and Attea to help with the district's search for a new superintendent.

The Pelham school board is scheduled to meet today at 4 p.m. in the superintendent’s conference room, which is located in the district’s administrative offices at 18 Franklin Place.

The board is expected to go into executive session to discuss the employment of the firm of   to lead the district’s search for a new superintendent of schools. Dennis Lauro, the district's current superintendent, to take a post with Southern Westchester BOCES as the executive director of the Lower Hudson Regional Information Center.

School board officials announced in June that they were choosing Hazard, Young and Attea to spearhead the district’s superintendent search.

The board is expected to go into a recess today and reconvene the special meeting at 5 p.m. Wednesday. A draft agenda for today’s meeting is available in the PDF to the right of this story.
