Pelham school officials plan to have elementary school principal assignments wrapped up by the end of this month.
Robert Roelle Jr., the current principal at Prospect Hill Elementary School, was hired to replace Joseph Longobardi as principal of Pelham Middle School .
Although schools officials haven’t named a replacement for Roelle at the Prospect Hill Elementary School, they currently have four elementary school principals available with the reassignment of Richard Limato. Limato currently serves as the district’s director of elementary school education, but that position is being slashed in the district 2012-2013 budget proposal.
“As per tenure and contract, Dr. Limato will resume the role of an elementary school principal,” Lauro said in an e-mail response. “Assignments regarding principals will be announced by the end of [May].”
