The Pelham Board of Education will hear an overview of the preliminary budget for next year by interim superintendent Dr. Charles T. Wilson.
Tonight's meeting is at 8 p.m. in Alumni Hall at Pelham Memorial High School
With input from the community, board members will then begin its fine tuning process before adopting a final budget on April 23.
Dr. Wilson said the draft budget reflects the direction set by the Board of Education earlier this year “to develop a budget that preserves program and class size and is within the tax cap.”
Also on the agenda, assistant superintendent Peter Giarrizzo will present a report on the findings of a Math Task Force based on its review of two studies of the current math program. The studies were by the Tri-States Consortium and by Rutgers University. Teachers, parents, Board members and administrators were part of this task force.
