The Pelicans played in three thrilling soccer games this weekend. The boy’s team took Rye into double overtime before finally beating the Garnets 4-3 to advance in the playoffs.

The girl’s soccer team first beat Peekskill to get into the first round of the playoffs then the Pelicans upset the higher seeded Nanuet team 2-1.

Pelham also won a football game against Brewster 6-0.

Game: Pelham @ Rye

Score: Pelham Won 4-3 (2OT)

Highlights: The Pelicans got two goals from Aiden Murray as they upset Rye in the first round of the tournament. James Edwards and Otavio Basso also scored for Pelham. Sean Pinson scored two goals for Rye in the loss and Liam Harris had five saves.

Game: Brewster @ Pelham

Score: Pelham Won 6-0

Sport: Girl’s Soccer

Game: Peekskill @ Pelham

Score: Pelham Won 10-0

Highlights: Pelham beat Peekskill in an out bracket game for the rights to play Nanuet.

Game: Pelham @ Nanuet

Score:  Pelham Won 2-1

Highlights: Pelham hit the road and upset the higher seeded Nanuet Golden Knights in the snow. Cubby Stifvater picked up a first half goal and Samantha Wirght scored late in the game to take the victory. Nanuet’s lone goal came from Sarah Schucker and Melissa Richards had ten saves in the loss.
