The Pelican volleyball team had a quick easy victory at home while other Pelham teams struggled. Field hockey fell to Mamaroneck in a blow out as the Pelicans also lost big in swimming.

Yesterday’s Results:

Sport: Field Hockey

Game: Pelham @ Mamaroneck

Score: Pelham Lost 7-0

Highlights: The Tigers were out in full force as they devoured the Pelicans Thursday night on the field. Alicia Meglio led the way for Mamaroneck with 3 goal while Jessica Gardner added a goal and 3 assists. In the loss goal tended Caroline Fink had 10 saves.

Sport:  Volleyball

Game: Edgemont @ Pelham

Score:  Pelham Won 3-0

Highlights: Pelham won at home with ease at the Pelicans defeated Edgemont 25-5, 25-10, and 25-11. Pelham’s Lauren Keller led the team with 12 assists as Helen Gandler had 6 kills. In the losing effort Lauren Stuzin had 3 kills.

Sport:  Girl’s Swimming

Game: Sleepy Hollow/Edgemont/Irvington @ Pelham

Score:  Pelham Lost 93-67

Highlights: Caroline Mitchell set the tone for the visiting team with a win in the 200 Freestyle as her teammates fallowed right after her in 2nd and 3rd. Pelham had a tough meets as they were fighting from behind the whole time, Sarah Dunbar came in 1st in the 200 Individual Medley as Elisabeth Schauer finished in front in the 50 Freestyle and 100 Backstroke for the loss.

Today’s Schedule:

In boy’s soccer, Eastchester will face off at Pelham’s Glover Field at 7.

In field hockey, the Pelicans will host Irvington at Glover Field at 4:30.
