The majority of Pelham athletics took Columbus Day off but the Pelican football team did face off at Yonkers.

Score: Pelham won 40-20

Highlights: The Pelicans fell behind early at Yonkers as Pelham found themselves down 27 at half time. The team was able to rally scoring 14 unanswered points in the forth quarter, but in the end the Yonkers offense was just too much.

Today’s Schedule:

In boy’s soccer, Pelham High School will travel to Ardsley to face off against the Panthers. Last time these two faced off Pelham came away victorious 2-0. The game starts at 4:30.

In field hockey, Pelham face off at Clarkstown South at 4:30 in search for their first win of the season.

In girl’s soccer, Eastchester will fly into Pelham for a 4:30 contest. The Pelicans lost the early season match up on the road 2-0.

In girl’s tennis, Pelham will face off against Ardsley at 4:15 in Veteran’s Park in Greenburgh.

In volleyball, the Ursuline Koalas will welcome Pelham in for a non league match up at 4:15.

Correction: Pelham defeated Yonkers in their football game 40 to 20. A story that ran earlier stated otherwise.
