It's That Time Of Year...Again

Thanksgiving has always been my favorite day of the year. Turkey and football are a great combo. Seven years ago, Tom Walsh figured out a way to make it even better: The Pelham Turkey Bowl. This year, we've moved the event, from Thanksgiving morning, to the Saturday following Thanksgiving. Four teams:
Tom Walsh's 'Stags', Terry Connor's 'Big Red', Cliff Teller and Dave Amorelli's 'Great Danes' and my own 'Sun Devils' will take to the Prospect Hill field to 'vie' for the glory of posessing 'The Captain's Cup' for the next 12 months. I've had that honor twice, and other than the birth of my kids, there isn't a better feeling (ok, that might be a stretch...who doesn't like a good foot massage).

TB7 Festivities begin this Saturday, at Chez Walsh 1030 Clay Ave. They'll be food and refreshments. We still haven't drafted teams, so if you have interest in playing get in touch. If you'd rather just come down and watch 40, or so, middle aged idiots act like...well idiots...we'd love to see you. In the end, we raise a bit of money for charity and host what we believe is one of the best days of the year in Pelham. We hope to see your there....
