A Roundup of Fourth of July Celebrations Near Pelham
These nearby activities will add some fun to your Independence Day festivities!
When and Where: Fireworks and Music at Kensico Dam in Valhalla on July 3.
Why go: Spend an evening with your family and friends at the Kensico Dam listening to patriotic music followed by a fireworks display.
Details: Pre-concert entertainment begins at 6 pm and The Bensen-Scott Big Band will perform at 8pm. Fireworks begins at 9:15 pm. It is recommended to bring lawn chairs and blankets.
Price: admission and parking are free.

When and Where: Fireworks at Rye Playland on July 4.
Why go: End the evening with a beautiful firework display. Luckily you don’t have to wait for next year to see fireworks, Rye Playland has a firework display every Wednesday and Friday at 9:15pm throughout August 31st.
Details: Fireworks begin at 9:30pm.
Price: Parking is $5 weekdays, $7 weekends, and $10 on July 4.
When and where: New Rochelle Fireworks – the "Spark of the Sound" on July 4.
Why go: Fireworks can be seen from the waterfront parks, particularly Hudson and Five Islands. Begins at 9:30pm rain or shine.

Why go: The event will be a traditional Fourth of July celebration with music, speeches, refreshments, and a reading of the Declaration of Independence.

When and Where: Go on a tour of Pell’s Point Battlefield.
Why go: Enjoy a walking tour of a portion of the Split Rock Golf Course, Pelham Bay Park, which is the site of the Revolutionary War battle of Pell’s Point.
