Concerts in the Park in Pelham Continue Monday Night

Unless the concert is moved inside because of weather, feel free to bring lawn chairs, blankets and a picnic.

Monday nights in Pelham during the summer mean concerts in the park.

Fred Fiorito, interim supervisor of the Pelham Recreation Department, said he tries to find music for most tastes.

"It's been going on for many, many years," he said, with anywhere from 150 to 200 people coming to enjoy the entertainment.

Upcoming on July 8 is the Philip James Orchestra.

Fiorito said the concerts go on rain or shine, but if it's raining the concert is moved into the Richard J. Daronco Town House.

"Rainy season doesn't help," he said. "We can accommodate 150 people inside, but it's not the same."

The 2013 Town of Pelham Summer Concert Series is presented by the Pelham Recreation Department. All concerts take place on Mondays, 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Richard J. Daronco Town House, Town House Park, 20 Fifth Ave. in Pelham.
