Thousands of people filled up Fifth Avenue in the Village of Pelham Sunday for the annual Street Fair and Music Festival.
The Festival, which was sponsored by the Pelham Chamber of Commerce, featured a wide array of vendors, civic organizations, non-profits and local businesses.
Darryl Walker of Street Fairs, the company responsible for organizing the event, said this year's festival had the largest turnout ever.
"It's the biggest crowd this town ever saw," Walker said. "We had 20,000 people. The record is 15,000."
Detective John Hynes of the Pelham police department said there were no incidents and the event went smoothly Sunday.
Pelham town Supervisor Peter DiPaola was at the event as part of the Pelham Civic Association. The group is holding its annual raffle fundraiser.
Proceeds from the fundraiser will be used to fund a wide range of projects that support the community's senior citizens, the needy families and individuals and the .
"It was a very nice turnout today," DiPaola said. "It was a good crowd and we sold a number of raffle tickets. We did very well. I'm happy with what we've done here and what we did today."
