Last Chance: Bartow-Pell Vote; Pelham Guidance Council Meets

Last Chance is feature that reminds readers of important dates and deadlines that are coming up during the week.

Voting ends for the "Partners in Preservation" competition on Monday, May 21.

The Bartow-Pell Mansion Museum is one of 40 New York City sites competing for $3 million in grants from the initiative, which was created by American Express and the National Trust for Historic Preservation to preserve historic sites across the nation.

Bartow-Pell is currently in fourth place, which would net the museum $155,000 in grants if voting were to end today.

Anyone, age 13 or older, can vote by going to partnersinpreservation.com or Facebook.com/PartnersinPreservation and selecting  the 'Boroughs' tab on the voting tool. Bartow-Pell Mansion Museum and Gardens will be under Bronx. Individuals can vote once a day from April 26 to May 21.

Pelham Guidance Council Holds Annual Meeting

The Pelham Guidance Council is holding its annual meeting on Wednesday, May 16 at 7:30 p.m. in Hoag Parish Hall at the , located on 1415 Pelhamdale Avenue, Hoag Parish Hall. The Featured Guest Speaker is Nancy L. Kessler, LCSW. The “Kids Helping Kids” players will also be there to present “The Knight Before Glasses,” a tale about accepting people for who they are. Refreshments will be served. RSVP by calling 914-738-0530.
