One of the many things that I always admired about Seeger is that when he was dragged before HUAC heRead More stood up for his principles. He didn't try to save his own career by naming names. His career suffered for decades because of the courage he showed protecting all of our right's to free speech and thought. When darkness and fear threatened to overtake the land Pete lit a candle and didn't go gently into the night.

It is a mighty tribute to Pete Seeger that all of us know the words to "This Land is YourRead More Land". Pete gave Woodie Guthrie's song to us. Pete also gave us the Gospel song "We Shall Overcome". Another song we sing with fervor. On his banjo, there is a circle of words, "This machine surrounds hate and forces it to surrender." May we all think this way. Thank You Pete Seeger.

We are so sorry to hear about Steven's passing. He was always a friendly face and helped everyone inRead More need. We were fortunate to get to know him and his his son over the years. Just a few weeks ago, he was amongst the fans at the sectional final for the varsity hockey team. I am glad we got to see him one last time, enjoying one of his favorite games. Our thoughts and prayers are with the whole Soropoulos family at this time.

I was with Steve a few hours before his passing, a usual Friday at Superior Srevicenter where theRead More boys in the shop played a practical joke on Steve. We all laughed and Steve took it in stride knowing he would return the favor. Unfortunately he won't get that chance and we have been robbed of a great son, husband, father, dad and friend. He may be gone..... BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN!!!!!

PhonesRingin'Dude 10:48 pm on Saturday, July 7, 2012 Yes "PeaceNow" let's take care ofRead More this first thing in the morning. I'm in the Ardsley area. I'm gonna start early in the morning, driving around, you know, door to door, collecting everybodies guns. Then after lunch, I thought I'd hit up some of the gun shops and grab all their stock. Mid week I'll try and get to some factories, the manufacturers, and stop all production. Ummm, on the weekend, I was wondering if you could lend me a hand with some posters that I'd like to put up around town "Not One More Shot Should Be Fired - The End" I think that should do it, and maybe we'll slik screen some t shirts with that as well. Let's get this done. And we'll deal with that, "right to bear arms" jazz next week. Talk to you soon.
