901 Pelhamdale Ave, Pelham, NY 10803
Even though the Huguenot Nursery School identifies as non-sectarian, its Judeo-Christian heritage still finds its wayMore into the classroom in the form of a pre-snack prayer and occasional chapel services. Founded in 1992 by the Huguenot Memorial Church, this school fosters an open, creative and hands-on environment for kids ages two to four years old.  Children are encouraged to move freely through the classroom and to choose the materials that suit their projects and needs best.
Huguenot Memorial Church
901 Pelhamdale Ave, Pelham, NY 10803
While working out of its original 1876 structure, this place of worship was known as the Little Red Church of theMore Huguenot Memorial Presbyterian Church. Though the name of this Presbyterian church was shortened when the congregation moved to its current 35,000 square foot building in the 1920s, the church's involvement in the community has only continued to increase. Today, the Huguenot Memorial Church offers members four choirs from which to choose: handbell, chancel, first Sunday and children's choir. Just as the music programs cater to every age group, so does the education program. Babies, toddlers, kids, teens and adults have the opportunity to continue their religious studies. The church is equally devoted to serving those in need, within and outside the community. Among its many missions, church members participate in "Midnight Run" where members meet once a month to collect and deliver food and clothes to the homeless in New York City. Members also contribute to God's Love We Deliver, a non-profit that provides nutritious meals for people afflicted with HIV and AIDS. HOPE Community Soup Kitchen, which serves hot, healthful meals to the needy, is also a service provided by Huguenot Memorial Church.
